NCIS: “Baltimore”Posted: May 4, 2011
This was a kind of different episode of NCIS, but I liked it. At the beginning of episode Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team are called to the murder scene of what seems to be another Port-to-Port killer victim. The victim turns out to be Tony’s (Michael Weatherly) ex-partner, Danny Price. About half of the episode is set in Baltimore in 2001, when Tony was working homicide with Danny. The episode does a good job of slowly giving clues about the murder and Tony’s, and Gibb’s, relationship with Danny. The episode goes through how Gibbs and Tony met and why Tony decided to leave Baltimore for NCIS.
The team realizes that Danny wasn’t killed by the Port-to-Port killer but a copycat and a copycat inside NCIS for that matter. This episode had a lot of good twists. After catching an IT guy who was planning to do a copycat murder, the team is lead to Tony’s old boss in Baltimore, who killed Danny because he was going to report him for being a dirty cop. But this guy was also a copycat. Abby (Pauley Perrette) and Duckie (David McCallum) find out that not a copycat, but the actual Port-to-Port killer is inside NCIS.
I’m liking this how NCIS is doing the whole serial killer thing. The killer is confusing, seemingly impossible to caught and an insider. Also, he or she has threatened to start killing other people the team knows or maybe the team themselves, we don’t really know. So, good job NCIS and I am looking forward to the end of this season.
